THE REAL LEGACY

Thinking back about my love of fishing, two memories really stick out. You see, I grew up in the thumb of Michigan in farm country, which meant open fields and wooded creek bottoms were everywhere around me. My first fishing experience at the ripe old age of six was sucker spearing with my dad where I promptly fell into the creek within 10 minutes ending our first experience. My next would be at the age of eight. My dad and uncle were talking about fishing and how well the fish would bite before a storm. It just so happened a storm was on the way, being in close proximity to a creek I decided I would sneak down there and test their theory out. Being missing at such a young age my dad and uncle came looking for me and found me fishing in our creek in the middle of a thunderstorm. When my dad asked what I was doing I said fishing, it’s the best time you know!
